For months, I've had one story stuck in my head, and I'm anxious to share it. 

I have been building this one character for years and knowing one of these days she will no longer just be mine makes me nervous and excited at the same time. 

The book will be set in Texas—because, honestly, where else?—during the summer of 1980, when endless highways, small towns, dusty sunsets, and wide-open skies create the perfect backdrop for a horror story. The setting is just as important as the characters, and I wanted the landscape to feel alive in its own quiet way.

This is the beginning of that journey.
